Born into a Teochew family with a long-standing street food heritage, Jimmee’s early life in this culinary world sparked his passion for cooking. Over the years, he developed his own distinctive style while cultivating a deep interest in the history of Thai cuisine across regions and the cultural traditions that shape it.
Jimmy has extensive experience collaborating with food organizations and culinary institutions, ranging from vocational schools to universities. He pursued higher education in business administration with a focus on hotel and tourism management, and during his academic journey, he was frequently invited to join workshops, training programs, and competitions in both food and beverage fields. His dedication and talent have earned him numerous national awards and certificates of recognition.
Beyond academics, Jimmy has applied his skills in real-world settings, working with restaurants and hospitality projects both in Thailand and abroad, proudly representing Thai cuisine on the global stage.
In addition to his culinary expertise, Jimmy is also recognized as a passionate traveler, reviewer, and blogger. His work as a cultural storyteller highlights his deep knowledge of Thai history, traditions, and regional identities, while also showcasing unique travel destinations across the country.
At Bukit Elephant Park, Guide Jimmy wants to share Thai culture and traditional cooking styles that he has experienced first-hand. He has visited and lived in many provinces—such as Chiang Rai and Phuket—for many years, observing how people across regions cook with local herbs, diverse seasoning, and distinctive plating. Even dining customs vary: some areas favor sticky rice, others jasmine rice. Having lived and traveled widely, he understands these everyday practices and is delighted to share them with everyone who visits or calls Phuket home.
“We hope you will visit us and experience the cooking class with us!”
